Illustration Friday : camouflage> Do you know these people?

I wanted to work with some more blacks and whites, and came up with this... sort of influenced by the Toulouse Lautrec I've been studying. I like the texture... What do you think?

Ah and the camouflage? Who knows 'who' these people are? Most actors, say they take on a different personna...when they get into stage makeup. It actually camouflages their own when they dress up or projects who they want to be. Thus one of the joys of dress up. So... its not always blending in....

I know a painting is marvelous, when I wonder what is going on behind the faces. This piece captures the imagination. Beautiful just to look at, but fascinating as well, wow!

Hi Janice. Very nice illustration. I love mimes!

I think you were asking about Poser a while back. It's a 3D human modeling program. Originally conceived as an artist's digital model, now people use it for final output. It can animate also.

A free version of this type of software is DAZ-Studio.

Thanks for the birthday wish. I'm getting over it--one more year to 55.

Yes, this is one of my favorites too. Lautrec holds a special place in my heart and did him one better.

A real, old-time Parisian feel to this one. I think Toulouse would highly approve. Nice one Janice.

I love their eyes, they are full of expression!

Very expressive hands and eyes. Love the composition.

Gotta watch out for the street artist version of these folks. You're right... they tend to blend in... and then... pow!... you're right in the middle of a four-sided box with them! And they're sneaky-quiet, too. Not a peep.

I love the way you handled the skin tones, the textures look perfectly like stage makeup!
