Citrus Squeeze

I did 2 pieces for Citrus this week... This one Im just um.. squeezing in... (excuse the pun). I had watched a show that showed how men used tools in unusual ways... and at the same time I had been reading about the rise in prices in citrus.. I ended up with *citrus squeeze*

I did try some decoupage... If anyone knows how to reverse transfer Printed material to your original.... Id love to know.. Fonts and lettering specifically. .

I found out how to do the transfer.... you print in reverse..., photocopy and then use blender pen on the back of the image...
then lift very gently

This one is amazing too, great thought process that led you to it, aren't mind 'connections' a wonderful thing ... especially when they're so beautifully rendered as an end result.

Great picture, I like the dramatic, abstract style you created.

I'm a sucker for collage and I love this one, Jan. As for the transfer process - ask a printmaker. As I recall, it's some sort of gel medium they use. Of course, the words will come out backwards.

I like the liveliness and beautiful colors in this piece! And it reminds me of an old manual citrus squeezing machine my Mom had when I was growing up. Later I asked her if i could have it as a painting prop, but she'd long since given it to the Salvation Army store, alas! Your piece sparked off some fond citrus-y memories for me.

I love all the blues with the lemon. What I love so much about all of your work is not only the lovely renderings, but the thought you put behind them. I'm always impressed!
