Illustration Friday: Wedding

This was one of the last pieces I did in my fathers room...(smiling here) He, had Lots of advice! and wanted credit as an advisor. So.. here it is, it is pastel, ink, acrylic, and I dedicate it to his memory.

I love this painting, esp the colours. I've pondered over it for quite some time now, and I'm still not sure how this will work out. He looks so hopeful, but she is more like "gaaah" :) Or is she perhaps overwhelmed with happiness? :)

Your dedication to your father, may he rest in peace, is so touching.

Everything that Carra just said!

Plus, is he suggesting, with his hand signal, that she come forth in 5 minutes? If so, she's saying 10 in reply! Women! :D

Just wonderful! So much better and alive than a stuffy straight portrait :)

No doubt your dad's smiling at this. It's wonderful! I've been wondering about you and he. I'm sorry for your loss, but happy for you both that you were together.
Peace.
